We are so excited to welcome local resin artist, Amber of Making Waves, for a special in-store trunk show! Amber’s stunning coastal-inspired resin artwork will be available to shop, giving you the perfect chance to discover unique, handcrafted pieces that bring beauty and creativity into your home.
As an added bonus, while you shop her collection, you’ll also have the opportunity to sign up for her upcoming resin art class — hosted right here in-store! It’s the perfect way to not only admire her artistry but also learn from her firsthand.
Bring a friend, enjoy a fun morning of shopping and inspiration, and take home something beautiful—whether it’s artwork, some new clothing, or both!

Have you ever wanted to try the art of resin? Do you love the ocean and want a fun night out with your friends?
Join us for an in store class at Rooted and Free featuring Amber's Making Waves!
A Making Waves class with your instructor, Amber of Ambers Making Waves, is the perfect introduction to the art of resin. In your class, you will be guided in creating a 3D ocean scene. You will learn how to mix resin, add color, and of course make waves.
This is a beginner class, suitable for those 10+ years old, and includes all supplies and an apron. Please keep in mind that resin will NOT wash out of clothing when you decide what to wear the day of class.
Extra Details:Â
- You will have access to mini shells, crushed shells, and sand. If you would like to add a personal touch to your project, bring your own beach shells.
- The resin used is non-toxic and food safe; meaning that it is safe for indoor use, and food safe once cured.
- Your project will need to be flat for at least 7 hours. You can leave it at the shop overnight, or you can bring it home at the end of class. Your piece should not be left in a hot car. For ease of transport, having a box in your car may be beneficial.
- Once home, please cover your piece to prevent dust, hairs, etc. from landing on the uncured resin. You can use what you transported it in, or simply use a piece of parchment paper (don’t let it touch the resin though). After 24 hours, your piece is touchable; however, to reach its hardest cure, please let it sit for a full week before use.

Looking for a fun and creative night out? Join us for an in-store class with Lakewood Ranch local artist, SFK Designs!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to turn beautiful oyster shells into one-of-a-kind ornaments. Whether you choose a festive Christmas theme or a design you can enjoy all year long (there will be many designs for you to choose from), you’ll leave with unique, handcrafted pieces perfect for gifting or keeping.
This beginner-friendly class is suitable for ages 10+, and includes all supplies — no experience needed!Â
Extra Details:
- Your project will need to be flat to dry for at least 7 hours. You can leave it at the shop overnight, or you can bring it home at the end of class. Your piece should not be left in a hot car. For ease of transport, having a small box or tray in your car may be beneficial for easy transport.Â
- Once home, please cover your piece to prevent dust, hairs, etc. from landing on the ornament while it dries. You can use what you transported it in, or simply use a piece of parchment paper. After 24 hours, your piece is touchable and able to be hung from your tree or wrapped up for gifting!
Tip: crafting materials may not wash out of clothing, so plan your outfit accordingly.
